Sophie initially trained as a children and young people’s counsellor, developing a strong foundation in working with developmental, emotional, and relational difficulties. She later completed further training to qualify as an adult counsellor, allowing her to work across the lifespan. She currently works within a school setting, supporting young people in a complex and fast-paced environment, alongside running her own private practice, where she works with adults and young people in a more reflective, one-to-one setting.

John began his career in mental health working with hard-to-reach clients facing complex barriers, including addiction and long-term difficulties. He qualified as a counsellor in 2018 and currently teaches counselling to students. Earlier in his teaching career, he developed and delivered training for leading mental health charities. In 2023, he trained as a therapeutic supervisor and now offers supervision alongside his counselling and teaching work. More recently, he has undertaken specialist training as a couples therapist, expanding his practice to include relationship work as well as individual therapy.
Both Sophie and John hold professional CPCAB counselling qualifications and work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet individual needs. They are both deeply committed to the counselling profession, with a strong ethical foundation that informs their work. Both are members of the BACP governing body. John is BACP-accredited, and Sophie is currently working towards accreditation. Together, they hold themselves and their practice to very high professional standards, with a clear focus on safe, ethical, inclusive, and effective therapeutic work
